BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio has endorsed Debbie Mayfield in the Republican Primary for State Senate, District 17.

“I have known Debbie personally for nearly 20 years and can tell you she is a caring mother and devoted wife,” said Rubio.

“I’m supporting Debbie not only because she is my friend but also because she is a committed conservative with the courage to stand up and fight for what she believes in. She’s honest, hard-working and the type of proven leader that Republicans can be proud of.”

The Primary endorsement, a rare move for Senator Rubio, came just one day before the start of early voting.

“Marco and I share a conservative vision for Florida and I am honored to have his support,” said Mayfield.
