BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – After responding to an incident where shots were fired at an apartment complex at 810 Sycamore Street, Titusville police officers apprehended two suspects after a vehicle chase.

According to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department, the incident began when officers identified the vehicle matching the description of the suspects leaving the apartment complex and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

“The vehicle did not stop, however, it slowed and a suspect got out and fled,” said Matthews in a release. “The fleeing suspect was quickly apprehended.”

Matthews said the other suspect continued to drive the vehicle and stopped in the El Leoncito Restaurant parking lot, located at 4280 S. Washington Avenue.

“Officers attempted to take the suspect into custody, however, she struck an officer with her vehicle and fled again,” said Matthews.
