BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Join Palm Bay Mayor William Capote and other corporate and community leaders at the Hilton Rialto in Melbourne on Saturday, September 24 for the 2016 Mayor’s Ball, which will honor EDC President and CEO, Lynda Weatherman.

The goal of this year’s event is to raise more than $200,000 to benefit the Certified Production Technician (CPT) program at Eastern Florida State College.

Students who complete the certification enter the workforce with the skills and education necessary to meet the demands of the rapidly growing tech industry in Brevard County, and potentially fill critical manufacturing jobs.

The production technician certification process focuses on the core technical competencies of the entry-level production worker and is applicable in all sectors of manufacturing.
