Winds At 140 MPH

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center has upgraded Hurricane Matthew, once again, to a Category 4 hurricane.

Max sustained winds are reaching 140 mph with the hurricane moving to the west at 9 mph.

Earlier, in the week the hurricane was moving over 20 mph but is now slowing its movement down considerably.

Hurricane Watch has been issued for Jamaica which is likely to see the impact by Monday.
