Harmony Farms To Host Blue Knights Florida Poker Run, Ryan Moore Memorial Golf Tournament

ABOVE VIDEO: The riders at Harmony Farms range in age from a four-year-old autistic boy to an 87-year-old lady suffering the ravages of stroke. Referred by physicians or therapists, they are coping with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, autism, multiple sclerosis and stroke.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Harmony Farms will host the Blue Knights Florida Poker Run and the Ryan Moore Memorial Golf Tournament to benefit the organization’s Equine Assisted Therapy program.

The Blue Knight International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Chapter 32, is holding a poker run and benefit for Harmony Farms, on Sunday, Sept. 25. All proceeds will benefit the Equine Assisted Therapy program at Harmony Farms. Both groups are not-for-profit organizations.

Proceeds will help Harmony Farms continue their work with Special Needs Children with varying disabilities and members of the Military & First Responders (Police and Fire) suffering from P.T.S.D.

The event will feature a poker run for motorcycles, autos and any means of transportation. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. at Space Coast Harley Davidson in Palm Bay.

First vehicle out is at 11 a.m. Poker hands are $10 for the first hand, $5 for additional hands. The benefit party will take place at Lou’s Blues in Indialantic starting at 2 p.m. Live Music, Chinese Auction, Live Auction, 50/50 raffle and great food will be available.

You need not participate in the poker run to join the benefit party. You can purchase a $10 hand at the benefit and partake in all the activities.

RYAN MOORE MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

Harmony Farms will present the 7th Annual Ryan Moore Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, Oct. at Duran Golf Club, in Viera.

The tournament will benefit Harmony Farms; a volunteer based, 501©(3) charity providing equine assisted therapy to disabled individuals of all ages.

The tournament is in memory of a young boy with Autism who rode in our program and passed away at a young age.

Player fees are $85, which includes Greens fees, golf cart, driving range, morning coffee & bagels, and lunch. There will be Raffles, Hole in One Prize and Special event contests on the greens.

“Our Hole-in-One prizes are a golf cart provided by Gold Carts Unlimited and Duran Membership for 1 year,” said Pam Rogan, Harmony Farms founder and executive director.
