BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – An unidentified body was discovered in the water off Riveredge Drive in Titusville on Thursday afternoon.

Titusville Police Detectives are now conducting a death investigation in reference to the discovery of a deceased adult male who was found floating in the Indian River by a passing boater.

Titusville Police responded to a 911 call that a body had been found in the Indian River in the area near the 4200 block of Riveredge Drive at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The body was recovered and there are no obvious signs of foul play at this time. This is an active ongoing investigation.

According to authorities, the death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

The Titusville police, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Fish and Wildlife Comission are on the scene.

The deceased, along with a bag of personal effects, was brought to shore about 5 p.m.
