UPDATE: Tropical Storm Hermine Upgraded To Category 1 Hurricane, National Guard Activated

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Tropical Storm Hermine has been upgraded to a category 1 hurricane after winds have increased to 75 mph Thursday afternoon as the hurricane begins to make landfall. 

The hurricane’s pressure has been clocked at 988mb.

Hurricane Hermine continues to push Northeast at 14 mph.

A Tornado Watch is in effect for Brevard County until 11 pm.

National Guard has been activated as Gov. Rick Scott has already declared a State of Emergency.
