Applications Now Being Accepted For 2017 Cocoa Beach Citizens Academy

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Applications are now being accepted for the 2017 Citizens Academy, which begins on Tuesday, January 24, 2017.

The Citizens Academy, which is hosted by the Cocoa Beach Police Department, is a look into the internal values, philosophy and operations of the City of Cocoa Beach Government, and is designed for Cocoa Beach residents.

Classes run for 14 weeks, one session a week, for approximately three hours each.

Participants will gain knowledge and insight of each department through discussions, demonstrations and site visits to include a variety of topics and issues that pertain to the City of Cocoa Beach.

Interested applicants must complete the application and return it to the Cocoa Beach Police Department, Records Department, 20 S. Orlando Avenue, Cocoa Beach, no later than January 10, 2017. Once the class has been filled, applications will no longer be accepted.
