CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – A team from the 45th Space Wing and contracted partners observe the arrival of the Mariner to the port at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., Oct. 12.

The large cargo ship transported United Launch Alliance’s vehicle hardware to the launch site at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station just a day after the base reopened following Hurricane Matthew.

Ensuring 100 percent mission success, the 45th SW was able to recover and return to progressing forward with future launches.

The Delta IV that arrived after the storm is expected to launch an Air Force Wideband Global SATCOM satellite later this year.
