New Name, Logo Unveiling Tonight For Team Formerly Known As Brevard County Manatees

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Central Florida’s new minor league team is set unveil their new name and team logo Wednesday evening.

The team use to be known as the Brevard County Manatees before they moved to Osceola County and signed a four-year affiliation with the Atlanta Braves.

The new minor league team is set to play their first game in April 2017.

The unveiling begins at 6:30 p.m. from Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee.

The Brevard County Manatees were a minor league baseball team of the Florida State League and were the A-Advanced affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers before the team moved to Osceola County. The Manatees were based in Viera, Florida, and played their home games at Space Coast Stadium which was built in 1994.

The park holds 8,100 fans and has been the Spring Training home of the Washington Nationals.
