The Titusville Police Department hosted National Night Out on Tuesday, October 4th 2016 at Target, on Columbia Blvd (Titusville PD image) 

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The Titusville Police Department hosted National Night Out on Tuesday, October 4th 2016 at Target, on Columbia Blvd.

This event is part of a national crime prevention initiative designed to improve partnerships between law enforcement, businesses and the community.

This year, citizens enjoyed free hotdogs, cotton candy, snow cones and McDonald’s food. Kids enjoyed two bounce houses, dunk tank, face painting, and fun giveaways.

The event also had a K9 demonstration, Mobile Command tours, SWAT gear display, and an array of Titusville Police vehicles and static displays from Titusville Fire Department.

“We love the face to face communication these events promote”, said Deputy Chief Todd Hutchinson.

“Citizens have a lot of questions for us, and our officers love the opportunity to share information directly,” added Hutchinson.

This annual event is one of many the department sponsors throughout the year to promote our partnership with the community.
