Cocoa police officers are investigating a shooting that appears to be drug related.

Cocoa Police Detectives are currently investigating a reported shooting Thursday morning in the area of 800 N. Fiske Blvd. where one person has been confirmed with injuries at the hospital, according to Yvonne Martinez of the Cocoa Police Department.

The victim’s condition is not yet known, say authorities.

According to witnesses, an unknown person drove to the location, fired shots and fled.

Detectives are actively investigating and are still interviewing witnesses.
