Florida Highway Patrol: Deadly Fiery Crash In South Brevard Claims Man’s Life

An adult male was struck and killed by a vehicle in the 900 block area of N. Atlantic Avenue on Friday morning at about 6:20 a.m.
Florida Highway Patrol officers responded to a deadly crash that claimed the life of a man early Friday morning at around 2 a.m. near Indian River Dr. and Indian River Tr.

BREVARD COUNTY FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol officers responded to a deadly crash that claimed the life of a man early Friday morning at around 2 a.m. near Indian River Dr. and Indian River Tr.

According to an early report, a 2011 Nissan Pickup was traveling northbound on Indian River Dr. and  for an unknown reason drifted off the curve in the roadway and onto the shoulder, where the pickup struck a couple of trees then bursted into flames.

FHP officials confirm the driver was located in the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are working to identify the driver and notify the next of kin.

The identity of the driver will be released at a later time.

The crash is still under FHP investigation.
