UPDATE: Man Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Cocoa Beach Identified As Gulam Esoof

An adult male was struck and killed by a vehicle in the 900 block area of N. Atlantic Avenue on Friday morning at about 6:20 a.m.

An adult male was struck and killed by a vehicle in the 900 block area of N. Atlantic Avenue on Friday morning at about 6:20 a.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Gulam Esoof, 58, of Cocoa Beach was struck and killed by a vehicle in the 900 block area of N. Atlantic Avenue on Friday morning at about 6:20 a.m.

According to the Cocoa Beach Police Department, although this is an active, ongoing investigation, it does not appear as though any criminal charges will be filed in this case.

Esoff was attempting to cross N. Atlantic Avenue and was struck and killed by a blue 2002 Volvo, driven by David Spivey, 68, of Port St. Lucie, according to the Cocoa Beach Police Department.

Spivey was traveling northbound when he struck Esoff, who was pronounced dead on the scene. Spivey did not sustain any injuries.

An investigation is ongoing at this time, and anyone who may have information regarding this incident should contact the Cocoa Beach Police Department at 321-868-3251.
