Melbourne Police Officer John Kemper Retires After 29 Years of Service

“Officer John Kemper (right) has been a “fixture” at the Department since 1987 and retired today after 29 years of service,” said a spokesperson for the Melbourne Police Department.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police Department held a retirement ceremony for one of their own on Tuesday.

Officer John Kemper has been a “fixture” at the Department since 1987 and retired today after 29 years of service.

Kemper “will be missed by all,” added a spokesperson for the Melbourne Police Department.

Officer Kemper was recognized for his community involvement with the D.A.R.E. Program and his countless of awards and accolades he received throughout his tenure as one of Melbourne’s finest.
