UPDATE: Melbourne Police Identify Two Men Involved In Monday Morning’s Shooting

**UPDATE** BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police have identified the two men involved in a Monday morning shooting as 36-year-old Jason Kilgore and 38-year-old Jessie McBride, according to Cmdr. Sean Riordan of the Melbourne Police Department.

McBride is currently listed in stable condition after suffering a gunshot wound.

In a release by police, the Melbourne Police Department received phone calls in reference to shots being fired near the 1100 block of Bridgewater Dr.

When officers arrived on scene, they found McBride with at least one gunshot wound.

Medical treatment was provided to McBride as medical personnel arrived and subsequently transported McBride to the hospital for further treatment.

Additionally, Melbourne Police received information regarding a gold Chrysler four door that left the scene and was possibly involved. This vehicle was eventually located by Florida Highway Patrol in Cocoa.

The driver, Kilgore, was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant. He is currently being held on the warrant in the Brevard County Jail.

Although witnesses were cooperative in the beginning of the investigation, they are less than cooperative at this time.

As a result, there are some issues that need to be clarified before charges can be brought before the court for any suspect(s). Melbourne Police have all parties involved identified and there are more witnesses to be interviewed and that is the focus of the investigation at this point.
