ABOVE VIDEO: Terrified viewers watch from edge of their seats as SNAKES hunting as a pack chase down baby iguana in amazing footage for BBC’s Planet Earth II that even shocked Sir David Attenborough.
(ABC NEWS) – This snake vs iguana chase scene is James Bond and Indiana Jones quality, according to the internet, and rivals some of the epic David and Goliath battles commonly shot in backyards around Australia.
The footage aired during the first episode of the BBC’s Planet Earth 2, shows a baby iguana fleeing a gang of snakes.
The iguana is chased across rocky terrain by countless racer snakes who momentarily capture and coil around their prey, before the iguana makes a miraculous escape.
The hatchling is chased for a second time, but manages to leap to safety in the final moments.
Even though Sir David Attenborough’s famous dulcet tones take a back seat in the clip, epic cinematic music accompanies the battle.
