BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On Saturday, members of our agency partnered with the Merritt Island Walmart and Target stores to hold this year’s “Shop With A Cop” event that helps to provide a great Christmas for over 200 kids who otherwise would not have a gift to open on Christmas morning.

During the “Shop With A Cop” event each child was paired with a Deputy Sheriff who walked with them through the store to help them pick out various items on their Christmas List.

The event not only helps others to have an incredible Christmas but also works to build positive relationships between our agency and community.

The Deputies and many other members of our agency volunteer their time to help with the event that is funded through the generosity of various businesses and through significant community support.

I can’t thank our members and community enough for their incredible support of this event!

I also want to extend a special thank you to our partners at Merritt Island Target and Walmart that work so closely with us to make this event possible.
