BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Institute of Technology is among the 32 best universities in the United States in producing graduates employers want to hire, a new survey found.

Released by London-based Times Higher Education, the U.S. University Employability Survey 2016 is a collaboration between the human resources consultancy Emerging and the employment research group Trendance.

It reflects which universities recruiters at top companies think are the best at preparing students for the workplace.

Among the top U.S. universities, Florida Tech is tied for 32nd with Cornell University, Carnegie Mellon and Rutgers, among others, and is one of just three Florida-based schools on the list.

“Preparing students for a lifetime of success is one of our guiding principles at Florida Tech, and Times Higher Education has once again reaffirmed that our approach, our curricula and our faculty are among the best in the country at ensuring that outcome,” said Florida Tech President T. Dwayne McCay.

The top ranked universities were New York University, Harvard University and Princeton University.
