VIDEO: UCF Knights Looks To End 2016 Season With Winning Record Tonight vs. Arkansas State

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – The UCF Knights (6-6, 4-4) will stay in their hometown for this year’s bowl game against the Arkansas State Red Wolves (7-5, 6-1) in the AutoNation Cure Bowl.
Kickoff for this contest is set for noon from Camping World Stadium.
Below are some key facts and statistics about the contest.
This will be the second meeting between these two programs. UCF defeated Arkansas State 31-20 in 1991.
Both teams were members of Division I-AA (now FCS) during their first meeting.
UCF is 3-4 all-time in bowl games and the Knights have won three of their last four bowl games, including the 2014 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.
This will be UCF’s seventh bowl game in 10 years and its first trip to the AutoNation Cure Bowl.
The Knights will play inside Camping World Stadium (then Citrus Bowl) for the first time since November 25th, 2006.

Key Offensive and Defensive Statistics:
Both the Knights and the Red Wolves have defenses ranked in the top 50 in the nation. UCF currently stands at 40th nationally in scoring defense allowing just 24.1 points per game and Arkansas State ranks 24th giving up 22.2 points per contest.
UCF ranks third in the NCAA in red zone defense.
Redshirt sophomore receiver Tre’Quan Smith enters Saturday’s bowl game following his fourth 100-yard receiving game of the season.

Saturday’s forecast in downtown Orlando calls for mostly sunny skies and a 10 percent chance of rain. The projected high is expected to be 83 degrees and the projected low is expected to be 66 degrees. Temperature around kickoff is expected to be around 73 degrees.

Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. at Camping World Stadium in downtown Orlando. The game will be broadcast on the CBS Sports Network and in Orlando on radio station 96.9 FM/740 AM. It’s also available on the iHeart app and the UCF Knights app. Radio coverage will begin at 3:30 p.m.
