BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – With the 2017 season just on the horizon, head coach Corinne Desrosiers announced the third year program’s 15-game schedule that includes 10 home contests at Florida Tech Panther Stadium.

Desrosiers, the 2016 Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year, has prepared a challenging slate for the Panthers that features matchups against four teams ranked in last season’s final Top 20 national poll.

The Panthers open the campaign with a pair of home games, starting on Feb. 10 against Molloy. Seven days later, on Feb. 17, FIT hosts a highly-skilled Lindenwood squad that finished the 2016 season as the fourth best team in the country.

Florida Tech then embarks for its only trip outside the Sunshine State, heading to the Carolinas for matchups against Belmont Abbey on Feb. 24 and Tiffin on Feb. 26.

The Panthers play seven games in the month of March and six on its home turf. FIT welcomes Wheeling Jesuit and St. Anselm’s to Panther Stadium on Mar. 1 and 4. The team then travels to Tampa to face first-year program Montevallo in a neutral site bout on Mar. 5.

Florida Tech closes out the non-conference slate with home games against Tusculum on Mar. 9, Indiana (Pa.), who finished 13th in the nation in 2016, on Mar. 11, Concordia (Minn.) on Mar. 16 and Colorado Mesa on Mar. 21.

The Panthers kick off the SSC schedule with a trip to Lakeland to square off with defending national champion Florida Southern on Apr. 1. FIT faces Saint Leo and Tampa in consecutive home games on Apr. 11 and 15 before rounding out the regular season on the road against Rollins on Apr. 18, who ended last season ranked sixth in the nation.

The SSC Tournament begins Apr. 28 with the semifinals and finals being hosted by the top conference team at the end of the regular season.

Florida Tech finished the 2016 season with a 10-7 record and returns much of its roster from last year, including the SSC Player of the Year and a Second Team All-American in Allie Modica along with seven other All-SSC selections.
