UCF Knights Ink Two-Game Deal With Atlantic Coast Conference Foe For 2018, 2019 Seasons

UCF adds Pitt Panthers to schedule in 2018 & 2019

ORLANDO, FLORIDA (UCF Knights) – UCF and Pittsburgh have agreed to a home-and-home football series, beginning with the Knights hosting the Panthers on Sept. 29, 2018. UCF will then travel to Pittsburgh for a contest on Sept. 21, 2019.

UCF and Pittsburgh have met one time on the gridiron, with the Panthers taking a victory over the Knights back in 2006 at the Citrus Bowl.

The Knights have played 10 teams currently comprising the ACC, with wins over Boston College, Louisville and NC State.

The Knights are coming off a 6-7 season capped by a berth in the AutoNation Cure Bowl.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh was 8-5 overall in 2016, played Northwestern in the Pinstripe Bowl and was the only team to beat the National Champion Clemson Tigers.

Back in August, the Knights also inked a deal agreeing to play another ACC foe, the North Carolina TarHeels.

The Knights will visit Chapel Hill on September 15, 2018 to face UNC in the first meeting ever between the two teams. UNC will then travel to Orlando to take on UCF on September 12, 2020.

UCF has another series with ACC school Georgia Tech as a home-and-home in 2017 and 2019.

The Knights also recently announced some schedule changes for the upcoming 2017 campaign. UCF moved their upcoming game at Texas from Sept. 9, 2017 to Sept. 9, 2023.

In addition, UCF announced the addition of a game with Maine to the 2017 schedule.

The following is a look at the Knights’ 2017 non-conference slate:

  • Sept. 2 – FIU
  • Sept. 16 – Georgia Tech
  • Sept. 23 – at Maryland
  • Sept. 30 – Maine
