MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — Several of Florida Institute of Technology’s online degree programs are among the best in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2017 Best Online Programs rankings released today.

Comparing 311 schools, the magazine ranked Florida Tech’s Online Bachelor‘s Program No. 68 in the nation, ahead of schools such as the University of Phoenix and Texas Tech.

U.S. News assessed schools based on four categories: student engagement; faculty credentials and training; peer reputation; and student services and technology. A fifth category, admissions selectivity, was included in ranking online programs for graduate students.

The magazine found that several of Florida Tech’s were among the standouts nationally.

Florida Tech’s Computer Information Technology program was No. 21, and U.S. News ranked Florida Tech’s Online Graduate Business Programs (Excluding MBA) at No. 80.
