BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A record number of eight Eastern Florida State College students have been selected to the 2017 All-Florida Academic Team for their outstanding scholarship and work in the community.

The All-Florida Academic Team consists of 127 students from the 28-member Florida College System that includes Eastern Florida.

They are nominated by their colleges and selected based on high achievement in the classroom, leadership on campus and service to the community.

This year’s representatives from EFSC are the most the college has placed on the team.

“These students represent the very best at Eastern Florida and the very best in the next-generation of leaders in our community and state,” said college President Dr. Jim Richey.

“All of us at the college are proud of them, especially with this group being the most we have had named to the team.

“It’s even more impressive when you consider there are more than 800,000 students in the Florida College System. It’s a great accomplishment.”
