Florida Highway Patrol troopers are on the scene of a reported fatal single vehicle crash by Rockledge on I-95 near mile marker 196 Friday afternoon.

**UPDATE**BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol has identified the man killed in Friday afternoon’s single vehicle crash on I-95 as 61-year-old Ray Hayes of Cocoa.

According to FHP, the man was traveling northbound on I-95 near mile marker 196 when he suffered a medical episode, veered off the roadway down an embankment and collided into tree.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol troopers are on the scene of a reported fatal single vehicle crash by Rockledge on I-95 near mile marker 196 Friday afternoon.

The crash occurred at 3:35 p.m.

According to Sgt. Kim Montes of the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash involved a dump truck that left the roadway which resulted in the death of the adult male driver.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
