BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – McNair Magnet Middle performing arts student, eighth grader, Hannah Goodman recently took the critic’s choice best of show in her category at the Florida Junior Thespians State Festival on February 10 – 11.

Goodman received a scholarship to attend a summer Broadway intensive workshop as a result.

Many other students performed in the festival as well.

To prepare for the competition, the students chose their own performances, prepared on their own time, and worked diligently under the direction of performing arts teacher, Lisa Hill.

Hill selected eight students to compete at the district competition and many of them qualified to perform at the state level. In order to compete at the state level students must have scored a superior rating at the district level.
