Melbourne Police Arrest Suspect For Vehicle Burglary After Witnesses Alert Authorities

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police are investigating a burglary incident that has resulted in the arrest of 43-year-old Adam Garver Wednesday afternoon, according to Commander Sean Riordan of the Melbourne Police Department.

According to a release by police, the Melbourne Police department received a call regarding suspicious activity on the 1000 block of Palmetto Ave. in reference to a suspect observed by two witnesses entering unoccupied vehicles parked in the area.

One of the vehicles was entered and the second vehicle was locked and the suspect was not able to gain access after attempting to enter, according to witnesses.

When police responded to the area, they were able to locate a suspect matching the description given by the witnesses.

Police identified the suspect as Adam Garver and after confirming his involvement in the crime, he was arrested.

A search of Garver uncovered a prescription pill bottle containine Clonazepam, which is labeled controlled substance, according to police.

Police say, Garver did not have a prescription for Clonazepam and was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The suspect was booked and taken to the Brevard County Jail.
