POLICE: Person Struck, Killed By Florida East Coast Train Friday Morning In Melbourne

The Melbourne police reported that a person was struck and killed by a Florida East Coast train on Friday morning about 6 45 a.m. on Melbourne Avenue near State Road 192.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne police reported that a person was struck and killed by a Florida East Coast train on Friday morning on Melbourne Avenue near State Road 192.

“At 6:46 a.m. multiple callers reported to the Melbourne Police Department that a north bound train had struck an individual just north of this location,” said Melbourne Police Lt. Steven Sadoff.    

Officers responded to the area and immediately located the victim who was found deceased upon their arrival.  At this time the identity of the victim has not been released and the case is under investigation.”
