BREVARD COUNTY • SPACE COAST ICEPLEX • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – Join Space Coast Daily’s Alan Zlotorzynski and Lee Hathaway today for fast paced college hockey, as the Florida Gators return to Rockledge for the second straight week to host the University of South Florida Bulls.

Today’s game features the University of Florida Gators and the University of South Florida Bulls in the second game of a home and home between the two teams.

Puck drop is at 4:30 p.m. from the Space Coast Iceplex with the pre-game show starting at 4:15.

Last night in Tampa, the Bulls opened their new home with a resounding 8-2 victory over the Gators at Florida Hospital Center Ice.

Last week at the Space Coast Ice Plex in Rockledge, before a standing room only crowd, the Gators fell in overtime, 4-3 to the very talented UCF Knights hockey team.

Florida enters the contest with a record of 6-8-2 on the season while the Ice Bulls from UCF are 7-17-1.

The Gators are led by forward No. 91, Zane Katz. Florida’s leading scorer enters today game on a nine-game points scoring streak and has 13 goals and 11 assists this season.

UF also has on its roster the Bourret brothers, who originally hail from Brevard County in Palm Bay.

Frederic is the Gators starting goalie and has five wins on the season while posting a 3.88 goals against average and a .904 save percentage. Anthony Bourret is the Gators fifth leading scorer with three goals and five assists in 16 games this season.

USF is led by Reading, England native Huw Baveystock who enters today’s game 14 goals and 15 assists, good for 29-points.

Protecting the Bulls net will likely be Samuel Coleman. The Bulls backstopper picked up the win last night and has 3.98 goals against average on the season and a .908 save percentage.

New this week will Space Coast Sports Hall of Famer Steve Wilson to the broadcast crew. Steve will be SCD’s Pierre McGuire today as he will be broadcasting fro the players benches and penalty box area.
