BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Join Alan Zlotorzynski today at Noon on Space Coast Daily TV for Division 1 preseason club baseball between the Florida Gators and University of Central Florida Knights.

The Gators and Knight will meet today at Desoto Park in Satellite Beach.

Hosted by the Space Coast Gators Club, today’s contest is a double header. The teams play in the South Atlantic Conference of the National Club Baseball Association.

With 17 returning players, UCF is ranked No.11 in the preseason Top 20 poll.

The National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) is the fastest growing intercollegiate baseball organization in the country. The NCBA is the only National Governing Body for Collegiate Club Baseball.

The league is driven to provide collegiate student-athletes with the opportunity to play competitive, organized college baseball and to continually improve this experience for all participants.

The Seminoles of Florida State won the South Atlantic Region the last two years but had a disappointing 0-2 showing at the 2016 World Series.

UCF was second in the SAL last season finishing with a 15-7 record and finished ranked No.10 in the country.

The Gators enter the season unranked but are 2-0 this season with a double header sweep over Tulane by a combined score of 27-13.

Players to watch for Florida include, Senior pitcher / first baseman Patrick Pinak, who collected five RBI’s in the Gators 16-8 route over Tulane.

Senior Pitcher / shortstop Tyler Willis and senior middle infielder, Alec Spano are also listed as players to watch this season.

For UCF, junior pitcher / shortstop Michael Bulmer was a first team selection and pitcher / first baseman Kenny Donaldson represented UCF on the third team.

The Knights roster boasts four former Brevard County players.

Robert Bowen and Grant Hass are former Titusville Terriers while former Eau Gallie pitcher Jackson McDonald and Satellite Scorpion infielder Andrew Robineau also play for UCF.
