EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUITY: Brevard Public Schools Now Hiring Bus Drivers

The Brevard Public Schools are now hiring bus drivers.
Qualifications include: valid Florida Commercial Driver License (CL) Class B with passenger endorsement, air brake endorsement, and “S” endorsement; driving record must meet criteria in the Safe Driving Plan; and five years of licensed driving experience.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard Public Schools are now hiring bus drivers.

Qualifications include: valid Florida Commercial Driver License (CL) Class B with passenger endorsement, air brake endorsement, and “S” endorsement; driving record must meet criteria in the Safe Driving Plan; and five years of licensed driving experience.

Before employment, the applicant must also satisfactorily complete a required driver training course, which is provided by the school board, and pass a performance test in the operation of a school bus.

The applicant must also pass a required state physical examination, complete a basic course in first aid and pass a required drug test.

Training to obtain a Commercial Driver License, to pass requirements for state School Bus Driver certificate, trainees will be paid for 40 hours of training when employed as a Standby Driver.

Physical requirement is classified as Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or
up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
