UPDATE: 95-Year-Old Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash On US 1 Tuesday Afternoon

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Victor Derosa, 95, of Massachusetts, was killed in a two vehicle crash on US 1 and Cidco Road, just north of State Road 528, Tuesday afternoon at 1:47 p.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Derosa was was traveling east on Cidco Road approaching US 1, as Joseph Fautla, 33, of Orlando, was traveling south on US 1, approached the intersection of US 1 and Cidco Road.
Derosa attempted to cross the southbound lanes of US 1, and entered in the path of Fautla. The front of Fautla’s 2011 SUV collided with the left side of Derosa’s 2000 Dodge truck.
According to FHP, Derosa was transported to Wuesthoff hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
This crash remains under investigation.
