Merritt Island Man Shocked To Find 6-Foot Gator That Invaded His Garage

'I thought it was a fake alligator'
BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA (WESH TV) — A Merritt Island man received quite a shock when he found a 6-foot alligator in his garage on Wednesday.
Hank Stout told WESH TV that he had just woken up and was reaching for something in his garage.
“I bent down to get the box, and I saw what I thought was a fake alligator,” Stout said.
“And when I bent down to pick up the box, it hissed at me.”
The gator likely made its way into the garage from a ditch behind Stout’s house.
A trapper was called to the home and the gator was quickly removed from garage.
