BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police Department’s Special Victims Unit arrested 27-year-old Alejandro Vargas for propositioning his 15-year-old male neighbor for sex, according to Sgt. Ronald Lugo of the Palm Bay Police Department.

Investigators say the two have known each other for around seven years.

According to a release by police, the suspect was sending text messages to the teen to give him oral sex and was offering to pay the boy money for the sexual favor.

Police coordinated an operation when the suspect was taken into custody by Palm Bay Detectives after he traveled to meet whom he thought was the victim for the sexual rendezvous, according to Sgt. Lugo.

The suspect was charged with multiple offenses to include Traveling to Meet a Minor for Sex, Attempted Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of a Minor and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
