BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Founded in 2014, Puzzle Box Academy offers comprehensive, individualized education to Brevard County children with autism and other developmental delays.

“As the mother of an autistic child, I was amazed at the lack of ABA (applied behavior analysis) resources in Brevard, and the cost of the resources I could find,” said Puzzle Box Founder Pam Holz.

“I made it my mission to offer affordable ABA treatment in a school setting where all children with developmental delays get the treatment and education they deserve,” said Holz.

Puzzle Box Academy, located at at 2180 Julian Avenue in Palm Bay, serves children between ages 5 to 12, and offers a low student to teacher ratio of 5:1.

“Our therapies include art, music, behavior and social cognition,” said Holz. “We have an oversized occupational therapy room, “green” outdoor playgrounds and peer buddies.”

The year-round school features a student-friendly kitchen, classroom iPad labs and parent training. Healthy meals include gluten-free menu plans.

Summer camps feature fun themes such as “Travel around the world,” and multi-sibling discounts are offered.

The Puzzle Box Academy is one of only a handful of schools in the United States to provide STAR curriculum – a science-based curriculum utilizing applied behavior analysis.

Holz and her husband James also launched the Holz Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) that will open an informational center this summer for parents of children with special needs.

“The Holz Center will offer information, resources and seminars to families with children of all special needs, including ADD, physical needs and mental needs,” said Holz.
