Brandon Bradley is an evil thug that deserves to die for taking the life of Barbara Pill.”

SPACE COAST DAILY TV: Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey talks about Deputy Barbara Pill’s Killer being granted a new sentencing hearing by the Florida Supreme Court.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Florida Supreme Court ordered a new sentencing hearing for Brandon Lee Bradley, a death row inmate convicted of fatally shooting Brevard County Deputy Barbara Pill in 2012.

The Florida Supreme Court ordered on Thursday a new sentencing hearing for Bradley because the ruling from the jury that recommended death voted 10-2, which was not unanimous.

The 12-person jury convicted Bradley in 2014 in only 90 minutes of the first-degree murder of Deputy Pill.

If the new jury’s recommendation isn’t unanimous for the death penalty, Bradley will receive life without parole.

After Bradley was sentenced to death in 2014, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said, “We are pleased with today’s sentence. Barbara was an incredible deputy, mother, wife and friend and we will never forget her. Justice was rendered today and we hope that it is carried out swiftly. We pray that today actions will finally bring peace and closure to Barbara’s family.”
