BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Join Steve Wilson and Alan Zlotorzynski from Space Coast Daily and the Friday Night Locker Room live on Space Coast Daily TV for two great All-Star prep basketball games this afternoon, featuring the top high school girls and boys seniors from the Space Coast and Treasure Coast.
The games are being played at Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne.
The boys are led by Florida Prep Academy Falcons head coach Julius Reid, and the Space Coast has an outstanding roster this year.
Recent UNLV commit, 6-foot-10 inch Florida Prep senior Mbacke Diong will be on the floor this afternoon as he is joined by Ndiga Diop, Vasilij Milinic and Montel Stewart from his Falcons team that finished as Class 2A State Runner Ups this season.
Also from the Space Coast is such standouts as Corey Kaplin from Holy Trinity, Antonio Youngblood from Cocoa and Levi Wilson from Melbourne Central Catholic.
The complete boys roster include Jason Browning, Space Coast; Corey Caplin, Holy Trinity; Romeo Crouch, Titusville; Mbacke Diong, Florida Prep; Ndiga Diop, Florida Prep; Marquis Dotson, Palm Bay; Najuan Durant, Melbourne Central Catholic; Neil Hawskins, Titusville; Vasilij Milinic, Florida Prep; Shyheim Miller, Bayside; Joe Russell, Titusville; Keon Smith, Melbourne; Montel Stewart, Florida Prep; Levi Wilson, Melbourne Central Catholic; and Antonio Youngblood, Cocoa.
GIRLS ALL-STARS TIP OF AT 4:30 P.M.
Coached by Aerial Wilson of the Melbourne Bulldogs, the girl’s roster is equally as talented.
Players include LaPresha Stanley, Rockledge; Briana Fahy, Melbourne; Sammie Streeter, Eau Gallie; Kiara Cadore, Astronaut; Samantha Santana, Melbourne Central Catholic; KeAubree Edwards, Spruce Creek; La’Cheri Postell, Atlantic; Princess Thomas, New Symrna Beach; Natalia Walcott, Holy Trinity; Carmella Walker, New Symrna Beach; CeCe Bankhead, Atlantic; and Latrell Wilbon, New Smyrna Beach.
With the NCAA Tournament starting on Thursday, today’s games are the best place to see tomorrow’s stars. Tip time for the girls is 4:15 and 6:30 for the boys. Both games can be seen live on Space Coast Daily TV.
