BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Thousands gathered in and around Orlando Melbourne International Airport Sunday afternoon to catch a glimpse of the annual Melbourne Air & Space Show.

This year’s headliner, The Thunderbirds, featured a flight demonstration team that includes six pilots, flying in patriotic red, white and blue F-16s that flew in formation and performed aerial maneuvers sometimes just inches apart.

They flew over 40 maneuvers during their demonstration, showcasing their skills and dedication.

Sunday, will feature demonstrations of the USN F-18F Super Hornet and the Harrier Jump Jet plus the USAF will show off the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

A variety of civilian acts will perform including the GEICO Skytypers, Mike Wiskus in the Lucas Oil Pitts and Kent Pietsch will be back to land his airplane on a moving RV!

The 17 acre aircraft display ramp will feature a wide variety of military and civilian aircraft on static display.

The final day of the air show concludes Sunday.
