SPACE COAST DAILY TV: A special memorial service recognizing all law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty during 2016 was held at the Police Hall of Fame in Titusville, Florida on Friday, May 19.

Memorial Service Will Honor Our Great Heroes Who Have Made the Ultimate Sacrifice

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A special memorial service recognizing all law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty during 2016 was held at the Police Hall of Fame in Titusville, Florida on Friday, May 19.

Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey once again Keynoted the event and welcomed all attendees as well as participate in the Roll Call.

More than 600 police family survivors were in attendance from 31 states, along with over a 1,000 law enforcement officers.

“All citizens were invited and encouraged to attend in a public showing of support for our law enforcement community,” said Jane Cox of the American Police Hall of Fame & Museum.

The military style service featured soloists, horse and caisson, pipes and drum band as well as a fly-over.

Chief Brian Smith from Illinois was also on hand to assist in the Roll Call, and National Association of Chiefs of Police President Chief Jack Rinchich from West Virginia was in attendance.

All Brevard County officers killed in the line of duty during the past 50 years received exclusive recognition.
