(LIFEZETTE) – According to a recent survey, attending church on Easter Sunday is not a cut-and-dry decision for everyone – even for self-identified Christians.

While similar numbers of Americans plan on attending (41 percent) as are not planning to attend (39 percent) an Easter worship service, 20 percent say they are undecided.

However, whether you decide to attend church or not, Easter is a great opportunity for families to bond and spend time together.

One way every family can celebrate the holiday together and keep a focus on its faithful beginnings is to watch movies that reflect on Jesus Christ and his teachings.

Many of these movies are heartfelt, educational and can provide a way for the family to have open discussions about religion.

The Passion of the Christ gave faith-based cinema a comeback. Since its wildly successful release in 2004, faith-based cinema has become easier to finance through the Hollywood system — though it still has its difficulties.
