American Ninja Warrior Stars Meet With 308th Rescue Squadron Members at Patrick Air Force Base

BREVARD COUNTY • PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, FLORIDA – American Ninja Warrior stars Barclay Stockett and Brent Steffensen met with members of the 308th Rescue Squadron during their visit to Patrick Air Force Base.

The stars were on base as part of a two-day Alpha Warrior Military Tour that included a meet-and-greet the first day followed by a Ninja Warrior style competition for base members the second day.

During the 308th RQS tour, pararescuemen and survival, evasion, resistance and escape specialists, spoke to their rescue mission, showcased some of their equipment, and led a rappel demonstration, after which they let the athletic icons try rappelling down the unit’s training tower.

A handful of rescue warriors participated in the Alpha Warrior competition the following day.

The competition included a variety of obstacles to test participants’ upper body strength and agility. Tech. Sgt. Kyle Minshew, 308th RQS pararescueman, garnered second place out of the 37 competitors.
