Corporal handled everything with utmost poise

Corporal Timothy Sean Fay immediately jumped into action and not only confronted the suspect, but apprehended him.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – As most of you know, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is comprised of many units and squads, who perform very important functions around the clock to protect our citizens.

Recently we received a letter from an appreciative citizen who wanted to commend the actions of one of our employees.

The neighbor advised that Corporal Tim Fay, who works at the Brevard County Jail was up preparing for work at approximately 4:00 a.m.when he observed a male subject burglarizing a neighbor’s vehicle.

Tim immediately jumped into action and not only confronted the suspect, but apprehended him.

The neighbor advised that the suspect’s resistance was futile as Tim secured him in a very short time.

The neighbor stated that Tim reacted so quickly that he had forgot his cell phone, and detained the suspect until the police arrived. The neighbor advised that Corporal Fay was scraped up, but had held the suspect until the Satellite Beach Police Department arrived on scene.

The neighbor stated that Tim handled everything with the utmost poise and courage even settling his family down after the suspect had been taken away.

The neighbor advised that Tim made a dangerous and scary situation so much better because of his training and professionalism.  The neighbor wanted to commend Tim’s actions for protecting the neighborhood and community without hesitation for his own safety.

As Sheriff, I am extremely proud of Tim for his incredible service to our community and dedication to keeping everyone safe.

Because of his efforts, another criminal is off the streets and behind bars where he belongs. Please join me in thanking Tim for his commitment and dedication to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and to protecting our citizens.
