Cocoa 8-Year-Old Student Injured After Car Runs Over Boy’s Foot While En Route To Board School Bus

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) were called to an incident involving a 8-year-old student having his foot run over while en route to board a school bus Tuesday morning.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) were called to an incident involving a 8-year-old student having his foot run over while en route to board a school bus Tuesday morning.

According to Sgt. Kim Montes of the FHP, the boy was getting ready to board a stopped school bus on Friday Rd. and Frankie Ln. in Cocoa when a vehicle reportedly drove through school bus stop signal and running over the boy’s foot.

The boy was transported to Wuesthoff Hospital with a serious injury to his foot.

FHP identified the boy as 8-year-old Peyton Ellis from Cocoa.

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol have ticketed the driver of the vehicle, 24-year-old Paul Arrington, for passing a stopped school bus.
