BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College P.J. Wilson and Henry Scott Youth Golf Camp will be held from June 12-22 at the EFSC Fred Gay Golf Academy in Cocoa.

The 25th annual Minority Youth Golf Program is open to all youth ages 10 to 17 and will be held Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Admission is free but pre-registration is mandatory.

The camp is designed to teach youth the basic skills of golf, including golf course etiquette, conduct, sportsmanship as well as values for successful living.

The camp was begun in 1992 under the guidance of former Brevard Community College (now EFSC) President Dr. Maxwell King with assistance from Henry Scott and P.J. Wilson, two African American golf professionals in Brevard County.

For years it was best known as the Minority Golf Camp because of its efforts to reach out to minorities, but it’s always been open to all young people.
