All roads leading to the Orlando International Airport have been shut down as police have contained an armed man in the Terminal “A” rental car area, according to airport officials.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – All roads leading to the Orlando International Airport have been shut down as police have contained an armed man in the Terminal “A” rental car area, according to airport officials.

“With ongoing events, FAA has placed a Traffic Management Program in effect for arriving flights. Arrivals may be delayed at departure point,” said OIA via Twitter.

Florida Highway Patrol has shut down all roads leading to the airport.

According to an airport spokesperson, the suspect threatened to do harm to himself and others.

According to the Orlando police, this is currently not an active shooter situation and no shots have been fired.
