Wesley Michael Gray, 26, of Palm Bay, was arrested and charged with Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon W/O intent to Kill, Battery and Possession of Cannabis.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – One man was shot during an altercation with two other men in Palm Bay Sunday evening about 6:49 p.m., according to Palm Bay Police Lt. Mike Bandish.

According to police, Wesley Michael Gray, 26, of Palm Bay, was arrested and charged with Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon W/O intent to Kill, Battery and Possession of Cannabis.

The incident began when three men were arguing over derogatory statements made towards each other’s girlfriends.

“Gray returned to the Clinton Drive residence to fight the other males,” said Lt. Bandish. “After getting the worst of the fight, Gray returned to his truck and fired several rounds into the ground towards the victims. One of the bullets ricocheted off the ground, sticking one of the men in the ankle.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – One man was shot during an altercation with two other men in Palm Bay Sunday evening about 6:49 p.m., according to Palm Bay Police Lt. Mike Bandish.

According to Lt. Bandish, Palm Bay police officers responded to the 2500 block of Clinton Drive and discovered that three men in their late 20’s had been fighting.

“When officers arrived, two of the males were still on scene,” said Lt. Bandish in a release. “One of the males had been struck by a bullet and the other had minor injuries from the fight.”

The third male had fled the scene in a pick-up truck and was taken into custody by Palm Bay police officers shortly after the incident.

Both men have non-life threatening wounds and detectives are investigating the motive for the altercation. Police have not identified any of the men invovled in this incident.
