Titans Basketball Coach Jeremy Shulman Selected Court Coach For U19 National Team Trials

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball coach Jeremy Shulman has been selected as a 2017 USA Basketball Men’s U19 National Team Trials court coach.
Shulman will join Kentucky head coach John Calipari, Colorado head coach Tad Boyle and Wake Forest head coach Danny Manning as a court coach during the Team Trials, June 18-25 at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Spring, Colorado.
“I am speechless that I’ve been given this opportunity, and it’s a true blessing,” Shulman said.
“I would not have this opportunity if it weren’t for the amazing players I’ve been blessed to coach over the years at Eastern Florida and am very excited to learn from such great coaches. USA Basketball is the pinnacle of coaching, and to be able to represent this amazing country is just beyond special.”
Shulman led the Titans to a 31-6 record and to the championship game of the NJCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championships this past season and has posted 177 wins in his seven seasons at Eastern Florida State College.
Last month Shulman coached an All-Star Game and spoke at the Nike Championship basketball clinics at The Orleans Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
“USA Basketball has assembled an outstanding staff led by Coach Calipari, and the team will excel under their leadership,” Purdue University head coach and chair of the USA Basketball Junior National Team Committee Matt Painter said in a news release.
Shulman is the only junior college coach selected by the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team committee who also invited Warner University coach Sean Hanrahan, Illinois State’s Dan Muller and Monmouth University’s King Rice to help Calipari, Boyle and Manning during the training camp.
“We are excited to have Sean, Muller, Rice and Jeremy at camp to assist in the U19 World Cup staff as court coaches,” Painter said.
“They all bring a wealth of experience and knowledge that will help us select a great team to compete in these games.”
