ORLANDO, FLORIDA (UCF KNIGHTS) – The American Athletic Conference, CBS Sports Network and UCF Athletics have announced that the Knights’ season-opening football game vs. FIU will be played Thursday, Aug. 31 at 6 p.m.

The contest will be part of an opening-night American Athletic Conference doubleheader, with Memphis and Louisiana-Monroe following the UCF-FIU tilt.

With the change to the FIU contest, UCF’s four September home games will all kick off at 6 p.m. or later.
All game times that have not yet been determined will likely be announced 12 days prior to the contest, with television partners reserving limited rights to slide some announcements to a six-day window.

Sept. 9 – Memphis – Spectrum Stadium – 8 p.m. (ESPNews)
Sept. 16 – Georgia Tech – Spectrum Stadium – 7:30 p.m. (ESPNews)
Sept. 23 – at Maryland – College Park, Md. – TBA
Sept. 30 – Maine – Spectrum Stadium – 6:30 p.m. (ESPN3)
Oct. 7 – at Cincinnati – Cincinnati, Ohio – TBA
Oct. 14 – East Carolina – Spectrum Stadium – TBA
Oct. 21 – at Navy – Annapolis, Md. – 3:30 p.m. (CBSSN)
Nov. 4 – at SMU – Dallas, Texas – TBA
Nov. 11 – UConn – Spectrum Stadium – TBA
Nov. 18 – at Temple – Philadelphia, Pa. – TBA
Nov. 24 – USF – Spectrum Stadium – TBA (ABC/ESPN Networks)
