Florida District 22 All-Stars continued Sunday at W.W. James Field in the eight, nine and 10-year old Baseball division.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida District 22 All-Stars continued Sunday at W.W. James Field in the eight, nine and 10-year old Baseball division.

In Game 1, the visiting team, Merritt Island Little League (MILL), met Port St. John Little League (PSJLL). Merritt Island Little League Showed up in force as they needed just four innings finish off Port Saint John Little League, 23-0.

Bode Handwork of Merritt Island pitched three no-hit innings before Caled West of PSJLL ended the no-hit bid with his teams only hit.

MILL’s Asher Anderson hit his second home run of the tournament, a two run blast that got his team scoring early and often. Bryson Dietrich went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBI’s and Mike Lambert added a triple and an RBI.

The MILL offense exploded in the 4th inning as they scored 14 runs while batting around twice.

In the day’s second game the host league, who were also the vistors, Indian River City Little League (IRCLL), came away with a 18-12 victory over Mims Little League (MLL).

Mims bats certainly did enough to come away with a victory as Preston Dietrich had a triple and two RBI’s while Nathan Burnette and Shane Tucker each added RBI doubles.

IRCLL’s bats were a bit hotter in the end as Kamden Wyckoff led the way going 4 for 5 with two doubles and two RBI’s.

Eli Russell and Kyle Cox each had two hits and three RBI’s and Daniel Hammer & Brayden Dickey added RBI singles.

IRCLL’s Blake Griffin pitched four Innings to lead his team to the six run win in a full six inning game.
