BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Junior League of South Brevard is now accepting applications for potential new members.

Benefits of membership include community service, developing leaders, personal development and friendship. Membership is open to women 21 years of age and older.

Women who are interested can click HERE for more information and to fill out anapplication.

The Junior League of South Brevard will also host an informational and social events for women interested in joining on Thursday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m.

The Junior League of South Brevard offers its members extensive training in areassuch as leadership, organizational development, community needs assessment,strategic planning, communications, advocacy and fundraising.

In this video, Michelle Epting of the Junior League of South Brevard, talks with Alan Zlotorzynski of Space Coast Daily at this year’s Bourbon Ball, held at Suntree Country Club on May 2. The Junior League of South Brevard is now accepting applications for potential new members.

Members pragmatically assess problems and solutions,motivate volunteers, and create new partnerships in the public and private sectors. Most importantly, they lay the foundation for real, lasting change.

Requirements include completion of a provisional program, payment of dues, attendance at monthly general meetings, commitment and completion of an application.

The Junior League of South Brevard is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism and improving the community.

SERVING GOOD CAUSES FOR MORE THAN 50 YEARS

JLSB has been a driving force in the Space Coast community since 1966, addressing the needs of at risk women and children.

Current projects include Fueling Kids and Kids in theKitchen, focusing on improving the health of children through nutrition andphysical activity by means of trained volunteers, financial support and community awareness and partnerships.

As part of the efforts, JLSB is also supporting the Children’s Hunger Project, which provides hungry young people on the Space Coast with weekend food backpacks with a goal of ensuring elementary school-age children do not have to experience hunger and malnutrition.
